Exterminate (cantrip)

Range: 10 ft.
Duration: permanent
Area of Effect: 1 creature
Casting Time: 2 action points
Saving Throw: none

Has the potential to kill any small creature which possesses no more than one maximum hit point, such as some rats, centipedes, rot grub, throat leeches, etc. The caster must know of the existence of the creature, but in the case of grubs or leeches, need only touch the actual attacked person in order to effect the cantrip.

Otherwise, if the creature is spotted within the range of the cantrip, it can be killed without saving throw.

Obviously, where creatures may have either 1 hit point or potentially more, the cantrip will affect only the weakest; if no such creature is present at the casting of the cantrip, it is wasted. However, the cantrip will aid the caster in specifying which of a number of creatures is one that potentially can be exterminated.
