For game purposes, a light throwing
spear that is insufficiently strong enough for hand-to-hand use in
melee. As such, the javelin is used only for hurling. It has an excellent range for this, better than for other hurled weapons. It causes 1-6 damage on a hit.
A javelin cannot be set vs.
charge.
